How to get there

Either by Barcelonnette and then the "Col de la Cayolle".

The "Col de la Cayolle" is closed in winter and often until spring. Watch out, caravans are not allowed. Superb route but can be tiring after a long trip.

Or by Nice or Digne - Leave the National Road 202 at the "Pont de Gueydan" crossing, and take the Departmental Road 2202 to Guillaumes. Saint-Martin-d'Entraunes is located on the D.R 2202, 12 km north of Guillaumes.

"Le Prieuré" is located 2 km from the village, on the other side of the Var River.

Owner's description

Under the sun of the "Alpes d'Azur", Welcome to our 100% natural mountains!!! Located close to the Mercantour National Park, "Le Prieuré" is an old genuine mountain farm, converted into campsite and holiday gites. This 12-hectares meadows and forest property offers you a preserved, quiet, and attractive environment, 100 km from Nice. The "Val d'Entraunes" is located in a beautiful unspoilt region of the French Southern Alps. Although situated in mountains 1050 metres high, here the climate is mild and sunny, thanks to the Mediterranean influence, marvellous blooming spring, beautiful summer, and in early autumn an incredibly blue sky. "Le Prieuré", overlooking the river Var, is on the sunny side of the mountain. Within a few kilometres, you can discover several kinds of nature, high rocky peaks and wild gorges, mountain meadows, secret forests, impressive red rock canyons (les Gorges de Daluis). There are no big towns around here, but small mountain villages, little churches with baroque paintings, shepherd huts, old farms ... And if you like car excursions, driving 2 hours, farther south and not so wild, you will find the French Riviera... Rallies Welcome.
