Owner's description
Strathyre lies among the scenic lochs and mountains of the Trossachs in Scotland’s first National Park. The site is at the heart of Rob Roy country and overlooked by Ben Ledi, which rises steeply to 879 metres (2,882ft) behind the cabins and is snow-covered in winter.
Strathyre is the ideal base for hillwalking at all levels of difficulty, from a gentle stroll on the shores of Loch Lubnaig to a vigorous hike to the summit of Ben Ledi … take a boat trip on Loch Katrine … visit the grave of Rob Roy MacGregor at Balquhidder … enjoy water-skiing or sailing on nearby Loch Earn.
The tree-clad slopes that sweep down dramatically to the shores of Loch Lubnaig change from spring fresh greens to warm autumn russets making Strathyre the perfect destination all year round.
