Practical Caravan Top 100 parks Award 2007

Clippersby Hall is very much an award-winning park. Not only is it our regional winner, it has also been awarded five pennants from the AA. It is the only park in Norfolk to be included in the AA’s premier park list.
The things that make it such
a good prospect are its incredibly high standards, wealth of facilities and personal attention by staff. As soon as you arrive on site you are made to feel like a valued customer. You are escorted to a spacious pitch situated in a glade. It makes you feel as if you are enjoying your own stately home grounds.
Once pitched up you can just relax and enjoy the beautiful mature woodlands that surround the site. There are also numerous facilities, including
a heated outdoor pool, tennis courts, pitch and putt and volleyball. A club house, mini-market stocked with fresh local produce and a café can also be found on site.
In summer, during peak periods, a local, circular route minibus collects passengers from a stop near reception and there is always easy access to the Broads, Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft.
This site offers a huge amount of facilities, is well maintained and has first-class service.

Practical Caravan Great Escapes

This attractive park has
six pitching areas, each
with its own character. Some have the feel of well-kept parkland, with large expanses of neat grass bordered by mature evergreens. There is also an orchard area and a couple of woodland areas. Bring chocks because some areas are slightly sloping. The washblocks boast modern décor, while several private cubicles contain their own toilet and basin. There’s
a wide range of leisure facilities to enjoy, including two grass tennis courts, an outdoor swimming pool, and an on-site pub.

Practical Motorhome Independent Site Reviews.

Located within the Norfolk Broads National Park, this is a site suitable for either families or couples. It includes some lodges and cottages, both groups being well separated from the touring area. The touring section is divided into six plots, each offering different aspects, from secluded, quiet parts to larger open areas, where children can enjoy the facilities and let off steam. You do not feel hemmed in by other campers, nor do you feel overlooked by the lodges and cottages.
All apparatus for children is well maintained to the Health and Safety Executive's standards. An information leaflet provided by the site is a helpful guide to the site, especially to newcomers to camping and caravanning.
There is something to occupy most people, including a heated outdoor pool, children's splash pool, table tennis and ‘family' mini golf.
The Beachcombers' Café and takeaway food area can be useful for those not wishing to cook, or wanting to use the picnic area. Evening meals and entertainment are provided at the site's Muskett Arms, which has a pool table and a children's room. There is a site shop near reception, and a laundry near the Muskett Arms. You'll also find a steam railway and the Riverside complex, with multi-screen cinema, bowling, and clubs, just a short drive away. Further off site, there is more to explore. Various National Trust sites include Blickling Hall. Within easy reach are Great Yarmouth, with all its attractions, and Norwich, with its great variety of shops and its cathedral. Although the site grounds were attractive late in the season, the toilet facilities were showing their age and in need of a thorough spring-clean for next year. You could have to wait for showers in high season, especially if there are many tents.
