TIPS WHEN BUYING A MOTORHOME
Make sure it is fit for purpose. Does it have enough beds, adequate washroom and kitchen arrangements.
Is it big enough for your family, pets, and sports or hobby kit.
Go for the best equipment level you can afford. Your plans and requirements may change in the future, so be prepared.
If you will be keeping the vehicle at home, make sure there is room for it and there are no local restrictions on parking.
For information, travel advice, parks directory and technical assistance, it's a good idea to join one of the major clubs.
Read up about the various sizes and types of motorhome to help choose the best for you.
If you might regularly carry passengers, make sure there are enough seats for all.
Decide if you want a petrol or diesel. Most motorhomes have diesel engines as they are powerful and economical. There are petrol versions available.
Be prepared with a set budget and study what is available within your price range.
Don't be afraid to haggle with the dealer. It's a buyer's market and there is usually room to negotiate on the price.
